The shank tapers from 3.21mm at the shoulders to 1.9mm at the bottom of the ring and is a half-rounded band. The gold used to cast this ring is 14k rose gold, 100% post-consumer recycled and refined again for strength. The sapphire was purchased from a supplier who works directly with artisan miners, ensuring that their communities in Nigeria benefit directly from these sales. I love spinel for their sparkle and unique grey undertones. On the sides of the center stone are two custom cut purple-grey round spinel, weighing 0.40ctw. It has great (eye clean) clarity and brilliance, the light bouncing off it's custom cut facets. The sapphire weighs 1.86ct and measures a bit more than 8圆mm.

It is untreated and a lighter green with some hints of light blue.
